What is a clinical trial?

A clinical trial (also known as clinical research) is a research study involving humans to answer specific health questions. Clinical trials conducted at Brooks and the BrooksRehabilitationClinicalResearchCenter focus on rehabilitation research. These studies are carefully monitored and conducted with the participant’s safety in mind.  Clinical trials are one of the most effective ways to determine the best treatments and to improve health.  More Frequently Asked Questions and Answers can be found at BrooksCenter.org

How do I participate in a research trial?

The BrooksRehabilitation ClinicalResearchCenter conducts rehabilitation research trials. Individuals who have experienced a stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, low back or neck pain may be eligible.  Other individuals may also qualify for other current active studies.  Some studies provide reimbursement for time or travel.  Before participating in any study, you should be fully informed and given the opportunity to have all of your questions answered. For more information, or to find out if you qualify for one of our studies, please call (904) 345-8970 or visit www.Brookscenter.org
